#VFNO
On Thursday was vogues fashion night out, hosted in Manchester. I worked on the night assisting stylist Martine Alexander, within Next.
We adjusted the layout of the front of the store, creating a denim workshop with a grungey edge. We worked offering style advice to customers and people attending the event.

I have been considering the importance of "signature style" and the issues surrounding this. To do this I have been researching into photographers and there work, questioning there aesthetics and style e.g. certain technique used.
During my research into photographers I saved images into a file that I particularly liked, after reviewing these it became clear that my aesthetic is studio based work, minimal, monochrome and clean sharp lines.
Here are some of my favourite images...

LFW - 1205 SS14
On Saturday I got the chance to dress for up and coming London based label 1205. Gerbase the woman behind the label designs for both men and women feautring unisex pieces.
The collections show a strong balance between masculinity and feminity presenting luxury fabrics with knowledgeable pattern construction creating minimalistic tailoring at its best.
Here are some images I took backstage...

FITTING FOR SENTIMENTELE TROUSER AND MAILCOACH SHIRT
Here are the pictures from the fitting with my model wearing the sentimentele trousers and mailcoach shirt.
Luckily the trousers fit perfect and no adjustments were required, on the shirt it was a 1cm either side on the sleeves and a 1cm either side on the bodice.
FITTING FOR CORSICAN TROUSER AND ALABYRON SHIRT
Here are the pictures from the fitting with model Ailsa, for my corsican trousers and alabyron shirt. As you can see the trousers required taking in quite a bit. I had to reinsert the zip, the waistband was then also to small. To problem solve I had to cut a strip of stretchy fabric, that allowed both ease and held the trousers tight to the waist.

STROKE WIDTH AND COLOUR
HERE I HAVE USED THE NEW BRUSH ICON THAT I CREATED USING A SECTION OF MY IMAGE, I HAVE PATTERNED A SECTION OF MY IMAGE.
I SELECTION A SECTION OF THE BRUSH STROKE, AND FILLED IT WITH A SOLID YELLOW COLOUR.
I THEN USED THE GRADIENT TOOL TO CHANGE THE COLOUR OF THE BRUSH STROKE GOING FROM YELLOW TO ORANGE.
