SAMPLES OF DESIGN DETAILS

One of our tasks in college, in preparation for making our trousers was to sample design details.

I found sewing curves and corners pretty easy and encountered no problems.

The first attempt of the invisible zip, and sewed on the right side and then re attempted the task and the second time it worked.

I found sewing a circle easy, the difficult thing was to ensure you kept to the seam allowance.

Flat felled seam, I found simple to do. However as you can the tension on my sewing machine isn't right.

I found bias binding, pretty easy as it is a design detail Im familiar with.

This task went ok, however if I was to redo it I would apply more tension when sewing the zip, as the fabric has pulled.
